The Pasco County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) took a look at Pasco County transportation needs through a long range transportation plan (LRTP) known as Innovate Pasco 2050.

Innovate Pasco 2050 is a multimodal transportation plan that will identify current and anticipated transportation needs in the County for the next 20+ years. It considers all modes of transportation, including motorized vehicles, public transportation, bicycles, walking, freight and goods movement, and air travel.

Innovate Pasco 2050 analyzed Pasco County’s transportation system to determine the County’s transportation system needs. Those needs were matched with recommended transportation improvement projects that were prioritized for funding. The result is a comprehensive blueprint for effective transportation decision-making and investment choices.

Over the course of the planning process, community members provided input to shape the vision and direction of the LRTP. These opportunities included both in-person meetings and digital engagement activities.
